Cotes du Rhone Blanc de Viognier 2024 Les Champauvins Domaine Grand Veneur

£21.99

Alain Jaume has a small parcel of Viognier, from just outside Chateauneuf, hence it’s lowly Côtes de Rhône AC. He vinifies this in stainless steel to keep the freshness and vibrant peachy, apricoty smells and flavours of the Viognier, fresh enough to make a perfect aperitif and full enough to take on most foods.

Description

Delightful fresh minerals and peaches from this lovely fresh unoaked Viognier, I find myself reaching for it time and time again.
Domaine Grand Veneur is a renowned Chateauneuf du Pape estate run by the skilful Alaine Jaume and his two sons. Alain is famous for his excellent White Chateauneuf but he also has a small parcel of Viognier, planted in the small vineyard of Les Champauvins near Coudelet, just outside the Chateauneuf AC to the North, thus its Côtes de Rhône AC. He vinifies this in stainless steel to keep the freshness and vibrant peachy, apricoty smells and flavours of the Viognier. This is a lovely glass, fresh enough to make a perfect aperitif and full enough to take on most foods.
