Bodegas Tarón Crianza 2018
Bodegas Tarón is a cooperative situated in the cool northern part of the Rioja Alta, their grapes are sourced from four neighbouring villages, Cuzcurrita de Rio Tiron, Sajazarra, Villaseca and Tirgo which shared similar terroir and climate; they have about 700 hectares of vineyards, giving them enough for their needs and excess to sell, it also means that all their wines can be labelled as Rioja Alta.
This traditional Crianza comes from vines with an average age of 50 years mostly from Tempranillo and 5% Mazuelo. The grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks, after the malolactic fermentation is complete it is run off into 1-2 year old American oak casks for a further years aging then further aging in bottle before release.
Warm spicy with sweet oak and attractive red fruits on the nose, the long enticing palate.
